OCEANS EXPO II "A world to discover", seeks to reflect the grandiosity, beauty and immensity of the oceans and its inhabitants. In order to achieve this ambitious and somewhat utopist objective, fourteen of the most renowned and experienced underwater photographers have been asked to share their spectacular images, the history behind each one and their particular point of view regarding the significance and importance of discovering the oceans.
“For an underwater photographer the sea is filled with challenge and possibility. In Oceans fourteen photographers have gone into the sea, peered through their masks and made the images that grace these pages. They have not simply recorded the beautiful and the exotic but have added their personal vision to their pictures.
The photographers have brought back more than images from their journeys into the oceans - they have created living art. The imagery is an undeniable truth that the sea is not an infinite resource for mankind’s benefit. Our oceans are finite and fragile and the images are testament to this ocean ethic.”
